Investment Operations & Reporting Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking an Investment Operations and Reporting Associate to support our growing investment management firm.

This is a high-visibility role with regular interaction across the Investment, Operations, and Business Development teams, offering broad exposure and the opportunity to contribute directly to the firm’s success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review daily reconciliation reporting and investigate and resolve any trade, quantity, or cash breaks.
  • Monitor daily cash balance across accounts; process FX transactions as needed and book trades with appropriate counterparties.
  • Assist with monthly account-level and composite performance reporting, including GIPS maintenance.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages and marketing material updates.
  • Support with monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting requests for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate new account openings with fund administrators, global custodians, and other service providers.
  • Assist with monthly account review and period end closing processes.
  • Review existing processes and identify potential improvements to create new efficiencies and increase quality and control.
  • Lead or assist with special projects as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience within the financial services industry, preferably in asset management or investment operations.
  • CFA designation or progress towards the CFA preferred.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communicator.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic, small team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power BI) and experience using Bloomberg (Enterprise, PORT, etc.).

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

 

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year base pay with discretionary annual bonus opportunity based on individual and firm performance.

Full-time, exempt, Monday-Friday with evenings and weekends as needed, primarily in person in our Denver office with potential for hybrid work.
