Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and thoughtful Investment Analyst to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for two key areas: investment research and portfolio management. The Investment Analyst will play a key role in the investment function of the firm including asset allocation, investment research and selection, performance monitoring, and portfolio management. For the right candidate this is a position that has opportunity to elevate within the firm to become a Director of Research and potentially Chief Investment Officer. Our offices are located in the Denver Tech Center near Belleview and I-25 and this position will be hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage discretionary and non-discretionary client portfolios in alignment with the firm’s investment committee by implementing and utilizing Tamarac Trading software.
  • Conduct in-depth fundamental, quantitative, and macroeconomic research across asset classes, sectors, and individual investments.
  • Prepare detailed research reports, investment memos, and recommendation summaries for internal use and client communication.
  • Participate and help lead the investment committee strategy discussions and idea generation. Assist in the development and refinement of the firm’s investment models and strategies.
  • Contribute to regular publications and client communications, including market updates and investment outlooks.
  • Collaborate with financial advisors to ensure cohesive portfolio management for each client.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and rebalance assets as needed to maintain strategic allocations.
  • Attend due diligence calls, conferences, and webinars to stay informed on our investment holdings, new investment opportunities, and industry trends.
  • Stay informed of market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities or risks.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, client education materials, and internal investment committee discussions.
  • Help develop and implement tailored investment strategies based on clients’ financial goals and risk profiles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • CFA Charterholder or progress toward CFA designation strongly preferred.
  • CAIA or progress toward CAIA designation viewed favorably.
  • 5-15 years of experience in portfolio management, investment research, or related financial services role.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and portfolio theory.
  • Proficiency with portfolio trading software (e.g., Tamarac, Orion, BlackDiamond) and portfolio management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships.
  • Series 65 or equivalent licensing preferred, or willingness to obtain the Series 65 within in 90 days of employment.
